Every week, we take questions on X (Twitter) and Facebook concerning Dallas Cowboys players and other team-related topics. So let’s get right to it.
“Will CeeDee Lamb’s contract be bigger than Justin Jefferson’s?”

Mike: When you compare CeeDee Lamb’s and Justin Jefferson’s numbers, Jefferson comes out ahead, but only slightly. According to that criteria, Lamb deserves a smaller contract than Jefferson. Sure, that is taking contract philosophy out of context here, but it would serve as a beginning place for both parties to work from. Now that Jefferson has established a standard, Lamb and the Cowboys front office will have a figure to work with when negotiating the next contract.
It is never too late to propose a trade. And, if you are the Boston Bruins, perhaps the saying might be rephrased as “it is never too soon” to locate a location to send rotational goaltender Linus Ullmark.
Lyle Richardson of Bleacher Report wrote a piece on June 7 titled “6 Trades We Want to See Happen at the 2024 NHL Draft,” with the event set for June 28-29.
One of these (probably the most plausible and likely given the circumstances) includes Bruins goaltender Ullmar moving to Ottawa in exchange for Senators defenseman Jakob Chychrun.
The best assumption is that Lamb will be close to, but slightly less than, Jefferson’s annual salary of $35 million.
Dana: Last month, Jerry Jones stated that he wanted to see more “leaves fall” before extending CeeDee Lamb, implying that he wanted to have a sense of what the market looked like after a few other wide receivers signed new contracts. With Jefferson’s contract, he is now the highest-paid wide receiver in history, earning $35 million per year on average.
