The 2024 New York Yankees have announced their coaching staff.
Aaron Boone’s whole coaching staff for the next season has been publicly confirmed by the New York Yankees.
Under manager Aaron Boone, the New York Yankees have revealed their coaching staff for the 2024 campaign. Boone, who is taking over as manager of the Yankees for a sixth season, is under pressure following the team’s first-ever postseason exit. Yankees record was 82–80.
Among the moves the Yankees have made this offseason was to trade five players to the San Diego Padres to acquire Juan Soto in the All-Star’s final season of control. Soto can become a free agent after the 2024 season.
All of the coaching moves were previously reported but not formally announced.
The biggest ‘name’ among the new coaches is Brad Ausmus, who is now the bench coach. He replaces Carlos Mendoza, who is now the manager of the New York Mets.
Ausmus played 17 years and has five years of experience as a manager, including leading the Detroit Tigers to 2014 AL Central title. He was Oakland’s bench coach in 2022.
