The five players with the most fan votes included Clark (700,735 votes), Boston (618,680), Wilson (607,300), Stewart (424,135) and Reese (381,518).Clark and Reese fostered a competition in the wake of going head to head in the 2023 public NCAA ladies’ ball title, in which there was discussion about the sportsmanship between their particular groups, Iowa and LSU. LSU crushed Iowa last year, while Iowa beat LSU recently during their Tip top Eight rematch. Iowa came to the title again this year yet lost to South Carolina.
The players with the main 10 most votes generally were viewed as first. Six of the players (Collier, Copper, Ionesecu, Stewart, Wilson and Youthful) are on the Olympic list, while Boston, Clark, Hamby and Ogunbowale were consequently picked for Group WNBA.
A rundown of additional players with high measures of votes was shipped off WNBA mentors, who decided in favor of who might fill the excess eight spots in Group WNBA. Mentors couldn’t decide in favor of players in their group.
This is the second time the WNBA Elite player game elements the Olympic group versus Group WNBA. The initial time was in 2021, in front of the Tokyo Olympics.
