With the acquisition of AZ Alkmaar midfielder Kenzo Goudmijn, Derby County has completed their fourth summer signing.

An impressive acquisition, the Dutchman has signed a four-year contract with the Rams for an undisclosed sum.

The 22-year-old has previously connected up with his new partners after the club shamelessly uncovered him toward the finish of a video in which Derby players gave their expectations for this evening’s down among Britain and the Netherlands.

Derby had serious competition for Goudmijn’s signature with Go Ahead Eagles and Groningen both interested in his services.

But Goudmijn has decided to pursue his career under Paul Warne in England and the midfielder, who can play as a number six or an eight, will form part of a brand new Derby midfield next season.

Goudmijn made 18 appearances in the Eredivisie, playing in more than 70 games, after spending the second half of the previous season on loan with Excelsior.
