Jacob Widell Zetterstrom has discussed his future amid Derby County’s transfer rumors. This summer, in preparation for their return to the Championship, the Rams are looking for a new goalkeeper.
They are said to have reached a deal with Djurgardens for Zetterstrom worth 20 million krona (or 1.4 million pounds). The 26-year-old has fueled rumors that he is on his way to Pride Park. He stated to the Swedish media, “England is the country of dreams, I’ve followed English football all my life,” when discussing his future.
Zetterstrom responded, “I know as little as you do, I have full focus here,” when asked if he had played his final game for Djurgardens prior to joining Derby. All I can say is that.”
On Wednesday, the Rams announced the signing of David Ozoh, a midfielder from Premier League team Crystal Palace, as their sixth summer signing. Ozoh will spend the season at Pride Park.
Ben Osborn, Kayden Jackson, Jerry Yates, Kenzo Goudmijn, and Ebou Adams are the other England youth internationals to join the club ahead of the new season.
