Following a 35-10 loss to the Baltimore Ravens at M&T Bank Stadium on Sunday night, the Buffalo Bills’ bubble has officially popped.
The first half of the game was a complete disaster for Josh Allen and Joe Brady’s offense, as they were unable to establish any sort of rhythm.
The Ravens scored touchdowns on their first three drives, including an 87-yard touchdown run on the opening play of the game.
With 14 first downs, 281 total yards, and a perfect 3 for 3 on third down, the Ravens jumped out to a 21-3 halftime lead while the Bills punted on four of their first five drives.
With just 90 yards gained overall, Allen was only able to throw for 42 yards in the first half as the offense was unable to get anything going.
Derrick Henry and the Baltimore offense also dominated the defense on the ground, overwhelming them.
In addition to finishing the night with 23 carries for 199 yards and a touchdown, Henry contributed to the passing game by catching a touchdown throw from Lamar.
The Ravens’ renowned rushing offense, which the Bills defense was unable to stop despite giving up a huge 271 yards on the ground, was the night’s main story.
Despite being in excellent shape, Buffalo suffered a blow to the mouth on Baltimore’s first drive and never fully recovered.
Lamar Jackson only had 18 pass attempts, 13 of which he completed for 156 yards and two touchdowns, demonstrating the Ravens’ domination on the run.
The Bills, who had been almost flawless in the first three games of the season, were dealt a severe reality check, but King Henry was mostly to blame for everything going wrong.
