Supporters of the Miami Heat have been waiting for the team to take some action this offseason. However, it appears that they have chosen to continue with the current roster as training camp approaches.
It is easy to see why the Heat would believe that improving their health rather than drastically altering their lineup will solve their issues.
They were in the NBA Finals only the year before. Along with well-known players like Tyler Herro, Bam Adebayo, Jimmy Butler, and Nikola Jovic, they also have young players like Jaime Jaquez Jr., Kel’el Ware, and Nikola Jovic. That does not imply that the Heat have not made an effort to accomplish some goals this summer.
Before DeMar DeRozan decided to sign with the Sacramento Kings, they were thought to be among the front-runners in the competition to sign him. And now it appears that they were aware of Julius Randle’s predicament, at the very least.
The New York Knicks discussed trades involving Randle with a number of other teams, including Detroit, Atlanta, and Miami, according to Ian Begley.
Naturally, a trade agreement has already been reached with the Minnesota Timberwolves, bringing Karl-Anthony Towns to the Knicks in exchange for Dwyane Wade, Julius Randle, and a first-round pick acquired from Detroit. Although it is not official yet, it soon will be.
In his time in New York, Randle has proven to be a reliable performer. Throughout his career, he averaged 22.6 points, 9.9 rebounds, and 4.7 assists in 330 games for the Knicks.
It was not meant to be—someone like Randle may have been a good addition for the Heat.
