On Monday Night Football, the Baltimore Ravens defeated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
From the start to the finish, the game was back and forth. Before the Ravens scored 34 points in a row to take a 34-10 lead into the fourth quarter, the Buccaneers scored the first 10.
Then, after scoring two touchdowns in the last four minutes and 21 points in the fourth quarter, Tampa Bay lost 41-31. In yet another impressive performance, Lamar Jackson led the way with five touchdown throws and only five incompletions.
Derrick Henry of the Ravens ran for 169 yards on 15 carries, including an impressive 81-yard run.
But in the end, Henry was unable to score, and the Ravens star felt a great deal of regret following the game.
Henry wrote, “Should have scored smh slow af,” on X. “Flock of affection.”
Short of a 92-yard touchdown run, Henry was tackled by Zyon McCollum at the Bucxaneers’ 11-yard line. For the record, Henry’s top speed during the run was 21.72 mph, according to Next Gen Stats.
Therefore, Henry does not seem to have been as slow as he believes.
The next two carries went to him, and then Jackson finally found Mark Andrews for a touchdown pass.
Henry has not scored a running touchdown in this season’s first game.
However, in the fourth quarter, the Ravens’ top running back did manage to get into the end zone with a 14-yard reception. The Ravens are now 5-2 on the season and will travel to play the Cleveland Browns in an AFC North rivalry.
