It will be December before one Washington Commanders player returns to the field.

Commanders cornerback Kevon Seymour was suspended for six games without pay, the NFL confirmed Tuesday. The NFL also stated that Seymour was suspended for violating the league’s Performance-Enhancing Substances Policy.

Seymour, 30, a former sixth-round pick, has made only two appearances and has one combined tackle with the Commanders this season. Prior to it, though, Seymour played in 31 games for the Baltimore Ravens across three seasons. During his NFL career, he has also played for the Carolina Panthers and the Buffalo Bills.

After the Commanders play the Tennessee Titans in Week 13, Seymour will not be eligible for reinstatement until December 2. But since Washington leads the NFC East 5-2 and recently received some encouraging injury news on their top rookie quarterback, Jayden Daniels, they should perform well with or without him.
