With one season of eligibility left, Arkansas quarterback KJ Jefferson has registered as a graduate transfer on the transfer portal.
Since his sophomore year in 2021, when he threw for 2,676 yards and 21 touchdowns, Jefferson has been a starter for the Razorbacks. In addition to starting the previous two seasons, he threw for 19 touchdowns this season and 24 in 2022.
Originally from Sardis, Mississippi, this 6-foot-3, 247-pound quarterback was a four-star prospect in the 2019 class of high school graduates.
After going 4-8 this season, Arkansas sacked offensive coordinator Dan Enos and replaced him with former coach Bobby Petrino.
Jefferson’s name appears on the transfer portal, but since the NCAA calendar is in a dead period right now, he will not be allowed to visit until a contact period begins on January 12. However, as long as it is not face-to-face, he will be able to communicate with coaches.
