Agent: Cowboys and CB Jourdan Lewis agree to a one-year contract.

According to his agent, Johnny Hamood, cornerback Jourdan Lewis of the Dallas Cowboys has agreed to a one-year contract that is completely guaranteed in order to return to the organization.

Lewis won the team’s Ed Block Courage Award the previous season after recovering from a serious right foot injury sustained in 2022. He basically had a lengthy rehabilitation process that lasted till the 2023 season began after having his foot repaired with a number of screws.
Lewis, 28, appeared in the final 16 games, making eight starts, after missing the season opening. He has occupied the slot since the Cowboys selected him in the third round of the 2017 draft.
Trevon Diggs, the starter, was sidelined for the season due to an ACL tear before to Week 3, which further enhanced Lewis’ comeback. After the Cowboys shifted DaRon Bland to outside cornerback, Bland recorded a record five touchdown returns and an NFL-high nine interceptions.
Lewis had 52 tackles, two tackles for loss, two fumble recoveries, three forced fumbles, one interception, and five pass breakups at the end of the previous season.

Lewis has 8.5 sacks, 10 tackles for loss, and 9 interceptions in 99 games with the Cowboys.
