Although Ronnie O’Sullivan is not renowned for having strong relations with other snooker professionals, the Rockets still adore Jimmy White.

For years, the Rocket and the Whirlwind have been close friends, and their bond appears to be stronger than ever.

When asked by Eurosport who else he would like to sit next to on an aircraft, O’Sullivan immediately responded, “Jimmy White.”

Best company in the world, he is hilarious, handsome, kind, and has a large heart. I adore him and he is one of my dearest friends.
When O’Sullivan first began playing snooker, the 62-year-old was his hero. Over the years, they have bonded while traveling and working together in the Eurosport studio.

“I adore this geezer and I am sweating buckets out there, but I would much prefer be sitting here with this fella for 17 days,” the Rocket said of White in the studio during his run to the 2022 World Championship title. There is no better company than this geezer.

Jimmy and I have been coworkers at Eurosport for many years, and while we have always been close friends, we have grown to be like blood brothers. I love him, and he is like my older brother.
White stated, “We have been excellent friends,” before to their final business encounter in 2021, demonstrating that the affection is undoubtedly reciprocal. Over the years, we have supported one another in our professional endeavors.

We are close friends, and the last thing we discuss when we are not playing snooker is the game itself. He is a wonderful guy to be around, and we love each other’s company.

I adore Ronnie because he is honest and does not hold back when expressing his opinions. He occasionally gets himself into problems for this, but that is just who he is. He is my partner, and it would be painful if he failed me; that is how true partners feel about one another.
“Even if these were many years ago, we always have a good time, whether it is at the tennis court, the racetrack, or a club.”
On the table, O’Sullivan lost to Pang Junxu in the round of 32 of the International Championship on Tuesday, continuing his poor start to the season.

Next week, the 48-year-old will be in Bolton for the Champion of Champions, where he will play his first match against Xiao Guodong.

Following that, he will defend the UK Championship in York, with the major stages starting at the Barbican on November 23.
