Juventus is allegedly interested in signing Ipswich Town attacker Liam Delap.
The 21-year-old moved from English champions Manchester City to Portman Road for a reported £15 million in the summer transfer window.
Delap has excelled tremendously in his first months as a top-flight attacker, scoring six goals in 11 Premier League games for the Tractor Boys.
In his most recent outing, the former Citizen scored the game-winning goal for Ipswich against Tottenham Hotspur on November 10.
Delap, who scored 10 goals while on loan at Hull City in the Championship last season, has signed a Premier League contract with East Anglia.
Juventus ‘following’ Ipswich striker Delap
According to Tuttomercatoweb, Italian heavyweights Juventus are interested in signing Ipswich’s Delap either the January or summer transfer window.
According to the report, the towering forward’s early Premier League displays have piqued the Old Lady’s interest.
Delap was signed from Manchester City for £15 million in July, and his price is said to have improved dramatically as a result of his recent performances.
As a result, Juve’s New Year move for the England Under-21 international appears improbable, especially with Ipswich pushing hard to escape an immediate relegation to the Championship.
Thiago Motta’s troops are apparently eyeing left-back and centre-back reinforcements in January, meaning that a transfer for Delap could take a backseat for now.
Ipswich’s EFL stars
At the 11th attempt, newly promoted Ipswich secured their first league victory of the 2024-25 season at Tottenham, thanks largely to Delap’s forward play.
A pair of former Championship heroes did the damage for the Tractor Boys in North London, with Sammie Szmodics also breaking Guglielmo Vicario’s net.
Three points at the expense of the Lilywhites propelled Kieran McKenna’s team out of the relegation zone and up to 17th in the Premier League table.
