Nuno Espirito Santo has commented about the progress made at the City Ground as he celebrates one year in charge.
Since replacing Steve Cooper last year, Santos has substantially improved the club’s prospects.
After overcoming the odds and navigating penalties and difficult refereeing decisions, Forest are now vying for a spot in Europe.
Santos reminisced on his stay, “Time has passed quickly. It’s been wonderful; it began off challenging, but it’s going well, and I’m enjoying it.”
He is focused on dealing with immediate challenges rather than making long-term forecasts, stating, “We cannot make predictions because you never know what will happen.” We strive to handle the challenges on a daily basis.”
With Forest set to face Brentford and now sitting comfortably in the top four, Santos underlines a day-to-day approach to success: “Last season was a lot to attend to and attempt to solve on a daily basis. We did well as a club, and now we’re starting something we want to do together.”
He avoids looking too far into the future, saying, “I don’t think about next year; I think about tomorrow. “We approach things day by day.”
Every training session, according to this philosophy, serves as a foundation for resilience and improvement: “That is the greatest approach to develop everything you want to achieve. If you want to be more resilient, you must begin with a working foundation, such as each activity in a training session.
He provided an example of this mindset: “For example, if you lose a duel, consider it a challenge for the next one. If you win the next one, you will be more resilient while also growing and improving.”
