According to a recent report by writer Pete O’Rourke, a “great” Derby County diamond is now expected to depart the team during the January transfer window.

With six points above the crucial relegation zone and 16th place in the standings going into Christmas, the Rams are still enjoying a strong season back in the Championship.
Given that Derby barely won promotion from League One the previous season, this was always going to be considered as a season of consolidation. However, Paul Warne and his team are performing well thus far, and they should be happy with their efforts. However, they will be looking to halt that skid over the holiday season as they have lost four of their last six league games.
In order to increase their chances of finishing as high as possible in the Championship, the Rams may try to add players during the January transfer window. Louie Barry, a young player from Aston Villa, has been connected to the team.
The 21-year-old is presently on loan at Stockport County from his permanent club, but Middlesbrough has been tipped as the front-runner to finalize the January deal.
The “Fantastic” Derby player will leave in January.
Journalist O’Rourke stated on X on Monday that Derby teenager Ben Radcliffe will permanently depart the team in January, concluding a transfer to Crawley Town with an agreement already in place.
Since Radcliffe does not appear to be a key player in Derby’s future, this seems like the best course of action for everyone. Former boss Rob Elliot praised the young midfield player during their time together, and he is currently on loan at Gateshead. He said:
“He was outstanding. He is a strong and self-assured young man. He has stepped in and performed admirably under trying conditions. He won headers when he came on against Barnet. He joined Dagenham in a really challenging role, but he performed admirably for the squad. In my opinion, his perseverance, defensive play, and mindset are what really stand out.
Radcliffe, who is 20, has reached a stage in his career where he will want to play frequently in order to develop as a football player and make sure he fulfills his potential. However, it is difficult to envisage that occurring at Derby because Warne values more older players.
Allowing him to join Crawley permanently is therefore the appropriate decision, and it is hoped that he will thrive there and have a successful career.
