Both the Green Bay Packers’ defensive coordinator, Jeff Hafley, and offensive coordinator, Adam Stenavich, interviewed for NFL head coaching positions at one point last week. Hafley interviewed with the New York Jets, who eventually hired Aaron Glenn, while Stenavich interviewed for the Chicago Bears post, which eventually went to Ben Johnson.
Glenn and Johnson were both Detroit Lions coordinators.
The Packers fired defensive line coach Jason Rebrovich, saw quarterbacks coach Tom Clements retire (again), and their offensive and defensive coordinators were interviewed for head coaching positions.
Stenavich has interviewed for the open offensive coordinator post with the Seattle Seahawks, according to a story by Jonathan Jones of CBS Sports that focused on former Philadelphia Eagles and collegiate head coach Chip Kelly receiving interviews during this coaching cycle:
Depending on how the interview process goes, OC positions with the Eagles, Commanders, Packers, and/or Giants may become available. Adam Stenavich has interviewed for the position as offensive coordinator in Seattle, Kellen Moore and Mike Kafka are contenders for the position in New Orleans, and Kliff Kingsbury has stated that he will not look at other positions until the Commanders season is over.
