Breaking news: Just now Kyle Larson Scores Dominant Xfinity Series Win at Bristol

Kyle Larson added another impressive performance to his growing NASCAR résumé, capturing a commanding victory in the NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Bristol Motor Speedway on Saturday night. Driving the No. 17 HendrickCars.com Chevrolet for Hendrick Motorsports, Larson dominated the field under the lights at “The Last Great Colosseum,” leading a race-high 143 of the 250 laps.

Larson, a full-time NASCAR Cup Series driver, made the most of his Xfinity Series appearance, showing speed and control on the high-banked half-mile track. The victory marked Larson’s 14th career win in the Xfinity Series and his first at the famed Bristol Motor Speedway.

“This is such a fun place to race,” Larson said in Victory Lane. “The track changes a lot, the groove moves around, and the fans here are incredible. I’m just proud of this team and thankful for the opportunity to run this car.”

The race wasn’t without its challenges, as several cautions kept the field tight and forced drivers to manage tire wear and restarts carefully. Despite the interruptions, Larson rarely looked threatened, pulling away from the competition on nearly every restart.

Behind Larson, Justin Allgaier finished second, putting up a valiant effort to keep pace with the No. 17 machine. Allgaier, a past winner at Bristol, praised Larson’s performance post-race.

“Kyle was just too good tonight,” Allgaier said. “We had a strong car, but he was in a different zip code. Congrats to those guys — they earned it.”

Cole Custer, John Hunter Nemechek, and Sammy Smith rounded out the top five. The race featured several intense mid-pack battles, but no one could match Larson’s speed up front.

Larson’s win gives Hendrick Motorsports another Xfinity Series trophy this season, further showcasing the strength of their part-time program. The No. 17 team, which has rotated drivers throughout the year, has been a consistent frontrunner when Larson is behind the wheel.

With this victory, Larson gains momentum heading into Sunday’s Cup Series event at Bristol, where he’ll look to complete a weekend sweep and continue his strong 2024 campaign.

“It’s always great to get laps here,” Larson added. “Hopefully, we can carry this speed into tomorrow’s race.”
