BREAKING: Burnley sign one more experienced goalkeeper

Burnley have reported the marking of veteran goalkeeper Václav Hladký on a two-year agreement.

Hladký, who joins on a free exchange after his agreement with Ipswich Town lapsed, turns into Burnley’s fifth marking of the mid year.

“I’m totally glad to be here and finish all the administrative work,” Hladký shared.

“I’ve heard a great deal of things about Burnley. It has extraordinary history, a fantastic fanbase, and I realized it was the best spot for me. I’m eager to get out and prepare today, I feel all around well and I’m prepared to get out there.”

Hladký, 33, started his football process in his old neighborhood of Brno, Czech Republic, with Zbrojovka Brno. He advanced through the foundation positions and showed up for the primary group prior to moving to Slovan Liberec in 2015.

Following four years in the Czech first class, he moved to Scottish side St Mirren in 2019. His exhibitions in the Scottish Prevalence lead to an exchange to Salford City in 2020.

That season, Hladký won the EFL Prize, got the Association Two Brilliant Glove, was named Salford City’s Player of the Time, and procured spots in the EFL and PFA Association Two Group of the Year.

In 2021, he endorsed with Ipswich Town, where he played north of 70 matches and accomplished sequential advancements, taking the club from Association One to the Chief Association.

The 33-year-old played each match of Ipswich’s memorable advancement winning season last year, taking over as Kieran McKenna’s best option attendant from Christian Walton.

Hladký, who joined Ipswich from Salford in the mid year of 2021, couldn’t settle on another agreement with the club after his past one terminated in June.

During his time at Ipswich, Hladký accomplished consecutive advancements and made a sum of 71 appearances in all contests from 2021 to 2024.

His transition to Burnley follows Ipswich’s marking of previous Clarets goalkeeper Arijanet Muric in an arrangement worth up to £15 million.
