In a terrifying crash that saw the 75-year-old’s car burst into flames a week ago, John Force, possibly the most famous drag racer ever, sustained a traumatic brain injury.

At the NHRA Virginia Nationals, Force lost control of his vehicle at more than 300 miles per hour. The NHRA medical team examined him at the track before transporting him by medical helicopter to a facility for further evaluation.

He currently faces a long recuperation in the wake of experiencing a TBI and being not able to answer orders a few days after the mishap. After the terrifying crash, John Force is making steady progress slowly.

Last week, doctors switched Force’s treatment from trauma intensive care to neurological intensive care. According to a statement released by John Force Racing, “he became more consistent responding to commands and finally opened his eyes on day five.

” “After days of unsuccessful attempts, his wife and daughters were overcome with emotion when he murmured his name, “John Force,” and later responded positively when questioned.

“The greatest test has been dealing with his outrageous unsettling and turmoil, which causes him critical trouble. His doctors have jokingly referred to him as a “raging bull” because he has repeatedly attempted to get out of bed despite being restrained.

Fans of the Force won’t be surprised by any of that. The 17-time champion is well-known for his boisterous and occasionally outrageous persona. Force, on the other hand, still has a long way to go in his recovery.

The statement continued, “Despite the welcomed progress, the 157-time tour winner still faces a long and difficult recovery and will remain in neurointensive care with visitation restricted to immediate family members only for the immediate future.”

The members of John’s family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the medical professionals who were responsible for his health and recovery.

The overwhelming number of sincere messages, prayers, support, and concerns from the entire automotive and racing industries are greatly appreciated.
