Major changes are driven by Philippe Clement at Rangers to solve enormous behind-the-scenes shortcomings.
Derek Ferguson claims that Philippe Clement will play a “massive” role in bringing Rangers’ facilities and support staff up to date.
In order to help solve the plague of injury difficulties at Ibrox, the Belgian has already revealed that changes have been taken behind the scenes this summer with the medical team [Rangers Review, 15 July].
After visiting son Lewis in Serie A, where he is captain of Bologna, Ferguson, the former midfielder for the Gers, feels that Scotland lags far behind other leagues in terms of maintaining players at the physical and mental top.
He believes that improving that aspect of the team will be far more crucial than hiring a new chief executive, and he has faith that the existing management will be spearheading progress in that direction.
