Elena Rybakina has joined Iga Swiatek and Barbora Krejcikova in pulling out from the 2024 Canadian Open in Toronto.

Rybakina has had a fascinating year this year, starting off well in Australia by winning a trophy in Brisbane. Many accepted it as a declaration that Rybakina would truly challenge for the World No. 1 spot on the WTA Visit, and now and again, she had that level.

However, consistency is more important than a player’s level when it comes to reaching the top spot. Playing an occasion as the best player on the planet now and again doesn’t cut it, as players need to get that level week and week out. This year’s Kazakhstani player, who demonstrated consistency fairly early on, has not been like that.

She lost currently in the second round at the Australian Open, and it was only after Doha that she showed a decent level once more.

That grouping rehashed the same thing until the earth season when she discovered some great consistency, yet the medical problems showed up once more.

She has managed a couple of on and off this year, including reasonably as of late during the grass season. Her health problems prevented her from playing and preparing for Wimbledon.

Due to additional health issues, she was unable to compete at the Paris Olympics, and it appears that they are still affecting her.

Along with Barbora Krejcikova and Iga Swiatek, the Kazakhstani player was confirmed as one of three notable withdrawals from the Canadian Open.

The event’s organizers were the ones who broke the news. World Number Four acknowledged in the comment that her health prevents her from lying at this time, which is why she will miss the event.

It’s exceptionally awful for Rybakina, who is one of the better-performing players on the hard courts. She can anticipate a lot of success during this season, which includes the US Open and two hard-court WTA 1000 tournaments.

However, she will now miss at least one of those three significant events. That is pulverizing for a trusted this player season to be the one she goes after number one, yet it has not exactly worked out like that.

She has slowly begun to earn a reputation for having problems with her health or injuries that last for a long time. Ideally, it won’t stand the test of time, and Rybakina is allowed to pursue significance as she has the apparatuses for it. Karl Hale, the director of the tournament, was still optimistic about the field for the 2024 National Bank Open despite Rybakina’s withdrawal.
