Due to a hamstring injury, star tight end George Kittle of the San Francisco 49ers will miss Sunday’s game against the home Los Angeles Rams.

The club demoted Kittle on Saturday from doubtful to out. The 49ers will be without three important offensive players versus Los Angeles as a result of Kittle’s injury.

The game will not be played by star running back Christian McCaffrey (calf, Achilles), nor by receiver Deebo Samuel (calf).

Over the first two games, Kittle, a five-time Pro Bowl pick, caught 11 catches for 116 yards and one touchdown.

In his seven complete seasons with the 49ers, he has three campaigns with 1,000 yards or more.
Brayden Willis, a tight end, was promoted by San Francisco from the practice squad.

Jake Tonges is also a possibility at tight end, where Eric Saubert is anticipated to start.
Sam Okuayinonu, a defensive end, was also promoted by the 49ers from the practice squad.

This comes with Nick Bosa (ribs), the former NFL Defensive Player of the Year, listed as doubtful for the game.
