BREAKING: Two important Packers players will not play on Sunday.

NFL

The Green Bay Packers are currently in last place in the NFC North after starting the 2024 NFL season 2-2.

Remarkably, Malik Willis, the backup quarterback, started under center in the two games the Packers won instead of Jordan Love.
The club plays the Rams in Los Angeles on Sunday.

Green Bay may be without two of its best receivers, Christian Watson (ankle sprain) and Romeo Doubs (personal situation), according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Doubs and Watson both established themselves as two of the NFL’s top rookie receivers last season.

Green Bay selected Doubs in the 2022 draft. He recorded 59 receptions for 674 yards and eight touchdowns.

Watson, who was also selected in 2022, had 28 grabs for 422 yards and five touchdowns in nine starts (one year after he had grabbed 41 passes).

The two have been reliable in 2024; in Week 2, Doubs led the club in receiving yards, and in Week 3, Watson took the lead.

The Rams will still have to deal with Jayden Reed despite the Pack losing both of its pass catchers.
2023 saw 64 catches for the second-year receiver for just under 800 yards and eight touchdowns.

Reed has 17 receptions for 336 yards and two touchdowns for the Packers in his two starts this season.

He led the club in reception yards in Week 1 (138 against Philadelphia) and Week 4 (139 against Minnesota).

Love and Reed ought to have a successful day against LA.

The Rams’ offense and defense rank in the bottom third of the league, and they have a record of 1-3.
