Anthony Rogers, a four-star class of 2025 running back, told On3 on Sunday that he has decommitted from Alabama football.
Rogers had been committed to Alabama since June 2023, and he maintained his commitment throughout the coaching shift from Nick Saban to Kalen DeBoer. He was the Crimson Tide’s long-term commitment from the 2025 cycle.

Rogers, a 5-foot-8, 190-pound running back, is ranked as the No. 8 running back in the 2025 class and the No. 10 talent in Alabama by 247Sports Composite. He is ranked No. 141 in the 2025 recruiting class.
Rogers attended Pike Road in Montgomery for his first two years of high school before transferring to IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, for his junior season. He returned to Montgomery before his senior year and played at Carver-Montgomery.
Rogers visited Georgia and Ohio State this fall and told On3 that he will choose between the two. He also stated that he will make his selection on December 4, the beginning of the early signing period.
Alabama already has 20 commitments in its 2025 class, which ranks third in the nation according to the 247Sports Composite. Akylin Dear, a Mississippi native, will be Alabama’s primary running back in the 2025 cycle.
