When the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears faced off in their rivalry at Soldier Field on Sunday, there was no lack of action.
Following a heated game, the Packers managed to spoil the day for the home team with a 20-19 triumph. With fewer than three minutes left in the game, Jordan Love came through for Green Bay with a game-changing one-yard touchdown to put the Packers ahead 20-19.
The Packers defensive lineman Karl Brooks sealed the victory by stopping Cairo Santos’ 46-yard field goal attempt in the closing seconds of the game, allowing Love and company to hold off their opponents. One person who watched Sunday’s suspenseful match was Ronika Stone, Love’s girlfriend.
Shortly after the final whistle, the 26-year-old posted her thoughts on Instagram about her victory.
Stone, who finished the game with 13-of-17 successful throws for 261 yards, one touchdown, and one interception, used the “Thank You for Changing My Life” meme to show her appreciation for her soon-to-be husband.
Love also scored another touchdown and four carries for 18 yards.
In addition, Stone, a professional volleyball player, chose to share the Packers’ Instagram post showcasing their rivalry victory.
Love and Stone have reportedly been dating for four years, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. They originally connected with a common college acquaintance over a FaceTime call.
In June, while on vacation in Tuscany, Italy, Love proposed to Stone. In terms of football, Love and the Packers will play their next game at Lambeau Field on November 24 against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 12.
