The Indianapolis Colts added a defensive tackle after taking down the New York Jets on Sunday.

On Monday afternoon, the Indianapolis Colts announced the signing of defensive tackle Trysten Hill to their practice squad. The move comes following the Colts’ first victory in over a month over the New York Jets on Sunday.

Hill, 26, previously spent time with the New England Patriots and appeared in two games for them this season. Hill was selected in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft by the Dallas Cowboys and played four seasons for Jerry Jones’ team.

Hill has spent the last few years on various rosters. Throughout his career, he has 39 tackles (seven for loss) and 1.5 sacks. Hill finished his college career at the University of Central Florida with 20 tackles for loss, six sacks, and one forced fumble.

Indianapolis added depth to their defensive line after suffering injuries during the season. DeForest Buckner missed time for the Colts this season, prompting the organization to find a backup option in case of an emergency. Hill, who stands 6-foot-3 and weighs 310 pounds, is somewhat undersized for the defensive tackle position but is more than capable of doing the job.

The Colts will release their first injury report of the week on Wednesday, so it will be fascinating to see whether any defensive lineman appear this week.
