NFL offers red alert to players following Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce robbery

The Kansas City Chiefs pair had their properties robbed in early October.

The NFL has issued a warning to all of its players in response to a string of robberies targeting Kansas City Chiefs Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce, as well as Minnesota Timberwolves and Milwaukee Bucks players.

The quarterback and tight end had their residences broken into the same weekend they played the New Orleans Saints in October, while the NBA stars and another unknown football star were also targeted.

The burglaries are thought to have targeted the championship rings of basketball and football stars, and the FBI is also looking into the case, fearing the crimes are linked to a South American crime syndicate.

As a result, the NFL is taking no chances, according to Tom Pelissero, and has issued a red alert to its players to remain attentive.

“It’s legit,” a source informed Pelissero. “It’s an international criminal organization.

“And over the last three weeks, they’ve focused on NBA and NFL players, and it’s all over the country.”

Who has been robbed?

Mahomes’ property had $100,000 worth of jewelry stolen, as well as his 2019 Super Bowl-winning shirt and other medals and trophies, and Kelce lost $20,000 in merchandise while Taylor Swift was watching him play against the Saints on October 7.

“Obviously, it’s frustrating,” Mahomes stated about the theft. “This is disappointing. Obviously, you don’t want this to happen to anyone. But certainly you.”

That comes after the Bucks’ Bobby Portis reported losing “most of his prized possessions” while competing on the court, and the Timberwolves’ Mike Conley Jr. faced a similar fate, demonstrating the thieves’ well coordinated operation, which knows when the stars will and will not be home.

Dots were connected when Wisconsin’s River Hills law enforcement identified similarities in the thefts and validated them with Minnesota and Kansas City police before contacting the FBI.
