Michigan football running back enters transfer portal

The transfer portal will open on Monday, and college football players are expressing their intentions to transfer ahead of the weekend.

Michigan has already lost wide receivers Tyler Morris and Logan Forbes, running back Tavierre Dunlap, offensive lineman Raheem Anderson and Tristan Bounds, and punter Tommy Doman.

You can now add another skill position player to the list.

Cole Cabana, a four-star running back from Dexter (Mich.), was expected to do huge things as a sophomore last season. As a versatile athlete, he was expected to contribute to both the pass and run games. Cabana, on the other hand, was plagued by ailments for the entirety of his two years and never played.

On Friday, Cabana stated his desire to use the transfer portal.

Cabana has three years of eligibility left. Without him, Michigan will rely on Jordan Marshall, Ben Hall, Micah Ka’apana, and incoming freshmen Donovan Johnson and Jasper Parker.
