The Kansas City Chiefs have plenty of star power, but they are costly and may lose some key players this summer.
Kansas City is definitely in a wonderful position. The Chiefs are 12-1 this season and appear to be on track for another lengthy playoff run. Kansas City has plenty of talent on both sides of the ball, but some difficult decisions will need to be made following the season.
The Chiefs will have several intriguing players enter free agency, who may end up pricing themselves out of Kansas City. Starting linebacker Nick Bolton is one player expected to leave, with Bleacher Report’s scouting staff anticipating the Las Vegas Raiders as a possible destination.
“2025 Free Agency: (Linebacker) Nick Bolton, Kansas City Chiefs,” Bleacher Report stated. “If you can’t beat them, take their players. The Raiders are certainly a long way behind the Chiefs in the AFC West, but free agency could help them close the gap.
“Signing Nick Bolton away from their defense would harm a division opponent while filling a critical need on the Las Vegas defense. Divine Deablo has not performed well enough to be a guaranteed starter next season, while Robert Spillane is about to become a free agent. Bolton has been a strong starter on a couple good Chiefs defenses, and he would be an excellent complement to a Raiders defense that has underperformed this season.”
Bolton is in the final year of his four-year, $5.8 million rookie contract. He has 2.5 sacks and 89 total tackles through 13 games this season. Keep an eye on him during the offseason.
