In Week 5, the Cincinnati Bengals and Baltimore Ravens will be fierce opponents. For the second straight year, the Ravens have the most effective ground game in the NFL, and the Bengals have had trouble stopping the run thus far this season. Lamar Jackson, the quarterback, and Derrick Henry, the running back, make up Baltimore’s backfield duo. Baltimore has rushed for 220.3 yards per performance on average through four games, which is 45 more than the second-ranked Green Bay Packers. The Bengals, however, have given up 145.5 rushing yards per contest and have not seen a ground game that is quite as potent as Baltimore’s. That combo is frightening. Why it is imperative that the Bengals start Baltimore quickly Quarterback Joe Burrow stated that the Bengals need to start quickly in order to prevent the Ravens from just sitting back and running the ball all day. This will offer them the best opportunity of defeating their rivals. Burrow said of getting out to a fast start, “You have to, or they are simply going to eat the clock up and run the ball.” “You know how nicely they operate it. Thus, we must get going quickly and seize as many chances as we can. “You have to act aggressively right away,” he continued. You will have so little belongings, so you can not just let the game come to you. I will need to play as close to perfect as possible. That is how I am getting ready.” Though he refrained from saying it, it sounds like Burrow is getting ready for a shootout with Baltimore. He understands that the offense will almost certainly need to take the lead if the Bengals are to win. Burrow’s right, too. The Ravens really aren’t a team that you want to go down early against owing to their ability to just suck the clock with their running game. Just watch what happened to the Buffalo Bills in Week 4. Baltimore easily maintained their lead throughout the second half after outscoring Buffalo 21-3 in the first half. Thus, the Bengals will have a greater chance of winning in a game that can be seen as a must-win for Cincinnati if they can start strong and throw the initial punches to throw the Ravens off balance. It is not easy to be 1-4 after five games. This Bengals-Boston meeting will teach us a lot about the team.
