Breaking: Michigan Veteran wide receiver announces return for final season

In addition to senior quarterback Davis Warren’s suggestion that he would return for his final season at Michigan, it now appears like another veteran Wolverine, wide receiver Peyton O’Leary, intends to stay with the team for his final season.

In a photo on his Instagram account, O’Leary shared a simple message: “last year incoming”

O’Leary concluded the 2024 season with ten catches for 102 yards and one touchdown. Although his career statistics are unlikely to wow NFL scouts, O’Leary’s experience with the school is immensely useful for a team that values culture. With Michigan looking for wide receiver talent through the portal, as well as returning some younger players who are expected to play a larger role in 2025, it’s unclear how O’Leary will fit into the picture.

• Played snaps at wide receiver against Arkansas State (Sept. 14)
• Contributed as a wide receiver against USC (Sept. 21), Minnesota (Sept. 28), at Illinois (Oct. 19)
• Contributed as a wide receiver and also played on special teams at Washington (Oct. 5)
