JUST IN: Premier League 2 Player of the Month award goes to an Arsenal youngster.

Nathan Butler-Oyedeji, a young player for Arsenal, has won the August Premier League 2 player of the month award.

Another attacker, Khayon Edwards, was also a nominee for the honor, according to Arsenal.com.

In Premier League 2, Butler-Oyedeji, who is currently the team’s U21 captain, finished August with four goals and three assists.

In the first match against Manchester United, the 21-year-old scored and assisted on another goal. He then scored twice against Wolves and once more against Aston Villa.

Butler-Oyedeji, who had been employed as a striker for a while, is now enjoying playing out wide once more. Lately, he has been utilized on the left wing, where he teams up with Edwards and Ismeal Kabia to form a potent attacking three.

Butler-Oyedeji has experience from loan stints at Accrington Stanley and Cheltenham Town. Butler-Oyedeji has previously been on the bench for the Arsenal first team.
