Morgan Geekie, a forward with the Boston Bruins, had a rough start to the 2024-25 season.
In his first 18 games, the 6-foot-3 forward scored just one goal and four points. He was also scratched several times owing to his troubles.
However, after a poor start to the season, Geekie is beginning to heat up. Over his last five appearances, the 26-year-old attacker has three goals and one assist. This included a strong two-goal performance against the Chicago Blackhawks on December 4.
Geekie also had several beautiful goals against the Blackhawks. With his first shot, he crashed the net and scored off his own rebound.
Geekie’s second goal, however, was even better, as he beat Blackhawks goaltender Petr Mrazek on a breakaway with a brilliant snipe.
This is a positive step forward for Geekie. It will be interesting to see where he takes it from here. There is still a lot of season remaining.
